'Brides of Dracula' can still chill today! One of Hammer's finest films?

I’ve just read a rather interesting review about Hammer’s ‘Brides of Dracula’.

To be honest, I’d kind of forgotten about this film; there’s no Christopher Lee and the score is NOT by my favourite, James Bernard (Malcolm Williamson does the honours, and rather well too!).

Despite this, the film is vintage Hammer and contains the usual corseted damsels, terrifying music, stylized sets and all rounded off by a huge dollop of repressed Victorian sexuality.

Great stuff!

If you haven’t seen the film before (hell, even if you have!) you must watch it soon.

Let me know what you think.

I’ve just watched a snippet of the new Hammer Film called ‘Beyond The Rave‘. It certainly looks bloodthirsty, contemporary and has some great music.
Maybe I need to see the thing in its entirety.
