There’s an upcoming “official sequel” to Dracula, called “Dracula: The Undead” by Dacre Stoker. This sequel draws on the family’s notes.
It’s causing quite a stir in the publishing world and the rights to the film have been rapidly snapped up. Shooting is expected to start in June.
It’s going to be quite a year for vampiric literature with a trilogy of vampire books from Guillermo Del Toro and Justin Cronin’s epic “The Passage, 2009“.
Dublin City Libraries have chosen Dracula for the, “One City, One Book” celebrations to be held in the city this coming April.
Also, the Irish Film Institute are planning to host a series of screen adaptations of Bram Stoker’s work.
Nosferatu will rear its head again but with a live musical accompaniment by 3pekano.
Professor Elizabeth Miller, one of the world’s foremost experts on Stoker and his famous novel, will also be delivering a lecture on Dracula in Dublin on the 28th April.
