Sponsors can choose a visual ad, a text link ad or send an original article to be published on the blog that includes a link to a website or offer. These ads will appear in the sidebar of the blog (or as a post).

The main site has a PR4 and is in the Dmoz Directory (takes a long time to get in, if you’re lucky!) and has been on the internet since December 2006.

Alexa says: Dracula-in-whitby.com is ranked #970,204 in the world according to the three-month Alexa traffic rankings. The site can be found in the “Travel and Tourism” category of sites. The site’s visitors view 8.3 unique pages each day on average. Approximately 23% of visits to the site consist of only one pageview (i.e., are bounces). The time spent in a typical visit to Dracula-in-whitby.com is approximately nine minutes, with 46 seconds spent on each pageview.

The site was created initially using SiteSells web creation tools. Later, a WordPress blog was added to keep readers up-to-date with events and happenings in Whitby, as well as the wider world of Dracula, vampires, movies and the supernatural.

At present, the site gets over 4,000 unique visitors per month (13,000 pageviews) and this is fairly constant all year with a sharp rise in visitors as Halloween approaches (no surprise there!).
